I hope I'm never too old or too smart to think I've learned everything. I believe you can teach an old dog new tricks.
I love a new Do-it-Yourself project, much to my husband's dismay. I often drag him along in the process. But, in my professional career, I drag others along like nonprofits and other colleagues. I hope you're doing that in your profession as well. I hope you share what you learn.
About a week ago, I attended a Fundraising Conference and picked up tons of helpful new information. I enjoy going to conferences because I learn something in every session I attend. I enjoy the motivational key note speakers and I love to see old colleagues and meet new people. In two days I learned more than I usually do in a day, so I consider that time well spent.
So spend your time wisely and learn a new language, learn how to knit, learn how to Snap-chat, but above all - learn how to be open minded, to be compassionate, and to love one another.
